EVOLUTIONARY ECOLOGY OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES
I am currently a postdoc in Kayla King’s lab at the University of British Columbia, Canada.
I study how interactions among hosts, parasites, and their environments shape infection outcomes and disease spread. My research integrates ecological and evolutionary theory with experimental infection systems to understand how heterogeneity in host responses and parasite traits influences virulence, transmission, and immune defence. By decomposing infection into biological stages, I identify where selection acts during infection cycles and how ecological context shapes host–parasite interactions and disease dynamics. Ultimately, I aim to generate insights applicable to epidemiology and disease control.
